A Warm Welsh Welcome. We never forget that you have literally hundreds of hotels and restaurants to choose from, so we go to great lengths to ensure the standards of our family owned hotel exceed your expectations. Built in 1742, this beautiful hotel combines old world charm, oak beams and an open fire, with all of the amenities you would expect from a modern hotel. All of our bedrooms are en-suite and furnished to a superior standard. We also have an award-winning restaurant serving excellent hotel food at modest prices in cosy surroundings. The cost of your accommodation also includes a full cooked breakfast. You can explore the historic market town of Ruthin on foot. With its castle and quaint streets filled with small shops stocked with every kind of local produce and craft products. There is so much to explore locally for all ages, The Horseshoe Pass, the motor museum, the home of the famous "Ladies of Llangollen", the working steam railway station offering trips along 12 miles of the most beautiful Welsh countryside, horse drawn boat rides along the canal, plus many ancient ruins and walks for all ages and abilities. Nearby Llangollen is also world famous for hosting the annual International Music Eisteddfod. Ruthin is a convenient base from which to explore all of North Wales with it's magnificent scenery, historic castles and places of interest, a few of which we have detailed within this booklet but we also stock dozens of free leaflets for residents on all major attractions. We hope to give you a warm Welsh welcome very soon. |
